World Suicide Prevention Day

Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2022 - 23:45
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) was first launched in 2003 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention with the endorsement of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The day is set annually as the 10th September and is designed to focus attention on the problems of suicide worldwide.
We will soon release our plans to support the 2022 campaign.
In 2021 the theme was 'creating hope through action'.
A range of our WSPD 21 sessions were recorded. You can find the recordings of these sessions here:

ZSA Suicide Awareness Training
Start a Conversation is working with ZSA to promote their Suicide Awareness Training. The session, which takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, aims to give you the skills and confidence to help someone who may be considering suicide.
It focuses on breaking stigma and encourages open conversations to help prevent suicide. The online training is free to all.
