Turning Point Crisis Café @ St. Martins House, Leicester

The Turning Point Crisis Café offers a safe space for people who identify themselves as experiencing a mental health crisis, yet are deemed not to require immediate medical assessment. The Crisis Café provides a meaningful and supportive alternative when seeking help at times of crisis.

The café is facilitated by experienced Recovery and Peer Support Workers from Turning Points local Crisis House Services. Support in the café is tailored to the emotional needs of the individual and includes strengths-based problem solving, alongside signposting to a wide range of local services. This includes the possibility of on-going support through the Crisis House Outreach Service. Support is available through 1:1 sessions and the use of a calm and welcoming social space. 1:1 sessions can be available and would last up to 50 minutes, their availability can be discussed at the point of referral.

Referrals can be made 24/7 and Turning Point will endeavour to respond within a 4-hour period.
