Some research has shown that there may be links between what we eat, and drink, and how we feel.

To support your mental health, here are some examples of what you can be mindful of in your diet (this is just a brief list):

  • Eat regularly - this will help to stop your blood sugar levels dropping which can make us feel tired and bad-tempered.
  • Stay hydrated - being dehydrated can affect your concentration and thinking. Do your best to keep hydrated.
  • Alcohol - drinking too much alcohol can affect chemicals in the brain that are important for good mental health.
  • Eating the right balance of fats - its important for your brain function to consume healthy fats such as that from nuts and seeds.
