Support for adults

First Contact Plus is an online tool which helps adults in Leicestershire find information about a range of services all in one place. The tool can be used either as a self-help directory, or you can make a self or professional referral which will involve an advisor calling to discuss the situation over the phone.

Support for children & young people

Teen Health 11-19 service is the new service providing support and signposting for a range of heath and emotional wellbeing topics for those of secondary school age and above.

People who can help

Local Area Co-ordinators

Our Local Area Co-ordinators (LACs) aim to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. The website below has the up-to-date contact details for our 30 LACs, who you can contact to find out how your local community can support your mental health and wellbeing.

Community Recovery Workers

The Community Recovery team hold a key role in supporting communities and individuals with early intervention to help reduce the likelihood of problems accruing or worsening. The team are both reactive and proactive, offering advice and guidance.

They cover a wide geographically rural area in each district of Leicestershire. Where there isn't a Local Area Co-ordinator.

They can provide 1-5 weeks worth of support and can help with/do:

  • Supporting individuals and communities to build resilience and gain independence
  • Acting as a point of contact for vulnerable individuals
  • Sign posting and connecting vulnerable people or people in need to other preventative offers
  • Health Champions - we share information with communities through our volunteer Health Champion

Introductions with a Community Recovery Worker can be made by telephone call or email. Residents can self-introduce. Agencies and services can introduce individuals via email, telephone with the individuals' consent.
